KDV de Wilgenhof is a small-scale daycare centre for children aged 0-4, set in a beautiful farmhouse at Banninkstraat 48 in rural Hengelo (Gld.). Surrounded by trees, shrubs, a large field, meadow and our own animals, we offer a unique green play area where peace, freedom and space are central. Every child is unique! That is why we create a safe, caring and homely environment in which children feel at home and can develop optimally. We give children the space to be themselves and to develop in their own way. Because no child is the same, we are always looking for what each child needs so that we can respond to individual needs and development. Our GREEN approach means we play more outside than inside. Children learn through play, so let’s do that outside! Outdoors gives space, peace and freedom to take initiatives. We adapt to the weather – every weather is outdoor-play weather, we dress for it! At De Wilgenhof children make optimal use of their senses. They smell freshly cut grass and the scents of our pigs, horse, cows, chickens and geese. They taste home-grown lettuce leaves, cherries and pears from the orchard and our own strawberries, herbs and radishes. They feel the ridges in a sunflower and hear the rain on the umbrella and the wind in the willows. De Wilgenhof offers endless opportunities to discover and develop.
