Prokino Juultje Zaamslag BSO

Prokino Juultje Zaamslag is located at Gerard van der Nissestraat 13 in the heart of Zaamslag and provides after-school care (BSO) for 44 children aged 4 to 12. We are part of Stichting Prokino Kinderopvang, a national organisation with more than 25 years of experience in offering warm, safe and development-oriented childcare. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up every school day from primary school De Torenberg, which is within walking distance of our location. After school we start the programme with a shared moment: time to relax with fruit and a drink, after which the children are free to choose from various activities. We work with a fixed daily rhythm in which eating, playing and relaxing take place at set times, supported by familiar rituals that provide calm and security. Inside we have a large, bright space arranged with different corners: a creative workshop for crafts and drawing, a construction corner with LEGO and Kapla, a quiet reading corner with picture books and magazines, and a cosy seating area where we can play together or watch films. Our outdoor area is a safe, green playground with climbing equipment, a sandpit, a trampoline and plenty of space for ball games and running. In good weather we make extensive use of this garden; in bad weather we offer sufficient indoor movement opportunities. We offer a varied activity programme that connects with the children's world of experience. Think of sports and games, creative workshops, nature and technology projects, cooking and baking, and cultural activities. In addition, there is room for homework guidance and children can simply enjoy playing with friends. Our pedagogical staff are trained to stimulate children in their development, taking into account their individual needs and interests. At Prokino Juultje Zaamslag we believe it is important that children feel safe and at home. We work with small groups so that every child receives the attention it deserves.
