Jong Oranje

Welcome to Jong Oranje, our warm and safe toddler playgroup located at Putselaan 184 in Rotterdam. We are part of Oranjeschool primary school and have been offering an on-site preschool since February 2004. At Jong Oranje, we work with a maximum of 16 toddlers per group, divided into two groups: Madelief and Zonnebloem. Our children are between 2 and 4 years old and can be enrolled for two or more half-day sessions. We maintain a clear pedagogical vision where the development of each child is central. Our pedagogical staff use the VVE program Peuterplein, with language development as the main focus: speaking, listening, and expanding vocabulary. To properly track each child's development, we use the observation method KIJK!. We regularly conduct KIJK conversations with parents to discuss growth and development together. There is a continuous developmental line from our toddler playgroup to grade 8 of Oranjeschool. Because grades 1 and 2 of the primary school work with the follow-up program Kleuterplein, your child will have a smoother transition from toddler to kindergarten. We always ensure a warm transfer when a child moves to grade 1 of the primary school. Oranjeschool has a Young Child specialist who supports our pedagogical staff in the development of our youngest children. Our opening hours are: morning from 08:20-11:20 and afternoon from 12:45-15:45. On Wednesdays, there is a combined group Zonnelief from 08:20-12:20. For parent contact, an intake interview and home visit take place after registration. We use the Social Schools app for communication with parents.
