Jan-Huygen childcare in Capelle aan den IJssel is a small-scale and personal daycare centre. Since 1999 we have been offering home-like, high-quality day care for children aged 0 to 4. Our location at Springersdiep 11 has twenty places, divided into two horizontal age groups: a baby group (0 – 2.5 years) and a toddler group (1.5 – 4 years). Each group has a maximum of eight children, ensuring every child receives the calm and attention they deserve. We work with a permanent team of five pedagogical staff who know the children and parents well. This continuity creates familiarity and a sense of security. Our approach is designed to let children discover, develop and grow through play in a homely environment that feels like home. We offer both full-day and half-day care, allowing parents to match their childcare to work or study hours. At Jan-Huygen we believe personal attention is the most important thing. We take time for each child and tailor our activities to the world of babies and toddlers. We do not use rigid schedules, but follow the child’s own rhythm. Playing, sleeping, eating and cuddling follow each other naturally. Our spacious sleeping rooms provide quiet places to rest, while the group areas invite play and discovery.
