2Piraten

2Piraten is an adventurous after-school care (BSO) located in the Statenkwartier district of The Hague. We are housed in a beautiful new child center at Prins Mauritslaan 10, within walking distance of Scheveningen beach. Our location accommodates up to 90 children aged 4 to 12 years and works closely with the Duinoordschool, which is located in the same building. At 2Piraten, we believe that children develop best through play and discovery. We provide a rich learning environment where children can choose their own activities. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide and stimulate them. The youngest children (4-6 years) have their own space with light, sustainable materials, while the older children (7-12 years) use a completely renovated group space full of challenges. We go outside as often as possible. Our outdoor playground with a nature section is a true paradise for children. Here they can climb, build, discover and romp. Additionally, we regularly make trips to the forest, beach, playground, petting zoo and library. We organize tough workshops and sports activities that connect with children's world of experience. At 2Piraten, we find it important that every child feels seen and heard. We work from the Pedagogical House of 2Samen, in which we start from the strength of each child. Our staff are professional and involved, and create a safe and challenging environment in which children can develop. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. This provides recognition and calm in the group. Through our parent app, parents stay informed of all activities and developments.
