2Piraten

2Piraten is our daycare centre located right in the heart of Statenkwartier, The Hague, at Prins Mauritslaan 10. We are part of a beautiful, completely new child centre that we share with Duinoordschool and Zorgvlietkerk. Thanks to the building’s transformation, two extra floors have been added; our daycare is situated on the ground floor, where we lovingly care for up to 61 children aged 0 to 4 every day. At 2Piraten we organise a baby group and a toddler group, ensuring that every child receives the space and attention appropriate to his or her stage of development. The group rooms are designed with sustainable materials and light colours that radiate calm while still providing plenty of challenges. We pay extra attention to each child’s development and make sure every child feels seen. We go outside as often as possible. Our spacious outdoor play area, complete with a natural section and various play elements, is a favourite spot for the children. We also make regular trips to the forest, the beach, the playground, the petting zoo and the library. In this way we broaden the children’s world and let them discover, in a playful manner, how to function in a group, play together and share. Our pedagogical staff work from 2Samen’s Pedagogical House. This means we follow one clear vision on upbringing and development, with safety, security and challenge at its core.
