2Uilen BSO

BSO 2Uilen is located right at the edge of the Westduinpark in the Vogelwijk district of The Hague, inside the building of the First Dutch Montessori School (ENMS) at Laan van Poot 353. Our after-school care welcomes children aged 4 to 13 and has room for up to 84 children, divided into four age-based groups. The Montessori philosophy guides everything we do. Furniture is child-sized, enabling independence and self-directed choice. We believe that the development of each individual child should always be the starting point, even during leisure time after school. Therefore, children actively help shape the activity programme; after all, it is their free time. Nature experience is a key theme. We have a challenging natural playground and make grateful use of our unique location. We regularly head out into the dunes: exploring the Apenbos sand flats, playing in the Pex woods and organising survival and camp days. During holidays we open at 07:30 and devote extra time to cooking workshops in our large kitchen, where the children and staff create their own ‘after-school restaurant’. Our activity offer is enriched by 2Samen KICKS: a programme packed with mini-workshops and holiday activities such as robotics, surf clinics, creative studios and special sports. These workshops are run by professional instructors and are free of charge for our parents. In this way we naturally combine play, relaxation and development. Feel free to drop by for a tour.
