IKEC Scheerder

Welcome to IKEC Scheerder, our daycare center located at Scheerder 2 in Hoorn. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland and provide care for up to 28 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since February 24, 2022, under registration number 967178022. At IKEC Scheerder, we work with a clear pedagogical foundation focused on the development of young children. We offer pre-school education (VE), where we stimulate children's language and speech development. Our spaces are designed to let children experience their day in a fun, structured and meaningful way. Structure makes it predictable for children, making them feel safe in the environment. We work with horizontal groups, where children are divided into age groups. This ensures an optimal development environment tailored to the specific needs of babies and toddlers. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding young children and provide a warm, safe and stimulating environment where children can play, discover and develop. Childcare is available on a half-day or full-day basis, tailored to parents' needs. All communication is conducted in Dutch.
