IKC 't Palet

Welcome to IKC 't Palet, located in the heart of Vlaardingen in the "Stadsleven" building at Gedempte Biersloot 3D. We are an Integral Child Centre (IKC) where childcare and education for children aged 0-13 come together. Our daycare provides full-day care for children from 0 to 4 years old. The location is open 52 weeks a year from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Everything we do revolves around learning and discovering together. We work with four groups: the Red Ladybugs and Pink Dragonflies for babies aged 0-2 years, and the Orange Butterflies as a vertical group for children aged 1-4 years. Additionally, we have the Yellow Bees as a special toddler group for 2-4 year olds. Each day starts and ends together in our central hall, where children meet each other and engage in activities together. Our pedagogical staff from KomKids guide the children with great care and attention. We believe it's important that children feel safe and at home with us. That's why we have our own enclosed playground where they can play and explore safely. We regularly make trips to educational places nearby such as the Hof, the playground at Broekpolder, the museum or the library. These excursions are an important part of our offering, where we stimulate children's curiosity and let them learn playfully about the world around them. We offer a rich variety of activities, including arts and crafts, reading and storytelling in our book corner, and outdoor play in our garden. The vertical group structure ensures that children of different ages play together and learn from each other. The very youngest receive the special care they need, with attention to bottle feeding, diaper changes and rest moments. For toddlers, we work on developing language and social skills, using VVE programs (Preschool Education) to promote a smooth transition to primary school. At IKC 't Palet, we believe every child is unique and has their own pace. Therefore, we offer flexible childcare options, including half days, and tailor our care and activities to the individual needs of your child.
