IKC Het Talent

Welcome to IKC Het Talent, located at Notweg 36 in the heart of Osdorp, Amsterdam Nieuw-West. As an Integral Child Centre we combine high-quality primary education with our own on-site preschool (KDV), fully embedded in the school organisation. Our early-years staff are employed directly by the school, creating a seamless learning path from age 2 through to Year 8. For our youngest children (2-4 years) we provide a safe, small-scale KDV unit with a maximum of 30 places. Groups are arranged horizontally, bringing toddlers together in age cohorts. We follow the VVE programme ‘Startblokken’, focused on language and cognitive development. Daily activities include movement-based learning: we use the school gym for toddler gymnastics and the spacious, green playground with natural play elements for outdoor play. A dedicated nap room with beds and cots allows children to sleep according to their own rhythm, either indoors or, in fine weather, in mobile outdoor sleeping carriages under the canopy. Our preschool works closely with the primary teachers. Toddlers already visit the school library, join weekly music lessons and receive pre-school language stimulation from our qualified language coach. Parents follow their child’s development through our own school app with photos and reports. Snacks (fruit, water and milk) are included; menus are individually adapted for allergies. Half-day sessions (morning or afternoon) are available, as well as extra care hours on staff-training days. In short, at IKC Het Talent your child enjoys a warm, stimulating start from age 2 in a familiar environment that flows seamlessly into primary education.
