IKC het Duet (kinderdagverblijf)

Welcome to the daycare center of IKC het Duet, located in the heart of the Thamerdal neighborhood in Uithoorn. Since January 2015, we have been sharing a modern and sustainable building at Prinses Christinalaan 120 with the primary school. Our daycare is part of Solidoe and provides care for children aged 0 to 4 years. We operate four groups: two vertical groups (0-4 years), a baby group (0-2 years), and a toddler group (2-4 years). The groups are spacious, bright, and inviting, with direct access to our green outdoor area designed especially for the youngest children. Child development is at the core of our approach. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children can grow at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff follow Solidoe’s vision: ‘You are welcome – Discover – Together – In the world’. We stimulate children’s development through targeted activities such as language and speech development, motor activities, music, and creative expression. We work thematically and offer preschool education (VE), collaborating closely with the school to create a continuous developmental pathway. Our outdoor space is an essential part of our daily activities. We believe it is important for children to play outside often and discover nature. We regularly go on excursions in the local area and use the gym in the building for movement activities. For children about to start school, there is a smooth transition to the kindergarten classes, as they are already familiar with the teachers and the school environment. We are open 52 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. We offer flexible childcare options, including half-days and additional tailored care. We work closely with parents and value parental involvement. Together, we ensure that every child feels safe, secure, and challenged at our daycare center.
