IKC Groenlo / groep Jam

Welcome to IKC Groenlo / group Jam, our intimate daycare centre located at Admiraal Helfrichplein 2 in Groenlo. We are part of KDV/BSO Pindakaas B.V. and provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Since 1 November 2021 we are officially registered in the National Childcare Register, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. At group Jam everything revolves around creating a warm second home. We work in a horizontal group structure with children aged 0-4. Our pedagogical staff are trained in Dunstan Baby Language, enabling us to better understand the very youngest and meet their needs more quickly. This strengthens the bond between baby and caregiver. Our daily programme is an alternating educational journey of doing, caring and discovering. We start calmly between 7:00 and 9:00 AM with free play and breakfast. Around 9:15 AM we tidy up together with the tidy-up song. This is followed by fresh fruit, singing, reading aloud and creative activities such as crafts, painting, clay work or playing with shaving foam and water. During the nappy change round at 10:00 AM we make sure everyone is fresh again. In good weather we go outside or take a walk to the supermarket or the Halve Maan. Indoors we play with blocks, puzzles, dance to music or build with Duplo. Around 11:30 AM we eat a bread meal together with milk. Then follows a quiet moment: children who are ready go to sleep in our separate sleeping areas, others do a quiet activity. Around 3:00 PM all children are awake again and we serve a biscuit and drink. The afternoon ends outdoors or indoors with play and discovery. For children who already eat hot meals, we serve a hot meal at 4:30 PM. Between 5:00 and 6:00 PM the children are picked up again. Pre-school education (VE) is standard included with us. We work thematically and stimulate language, motor skills and social skills in a playful way. Our IKC staff regularly attend refresher courses and read professional literature to keep their knowledge up to date. In this way we offer a safe, challenging and loving environment every day in which children can develop optimally.
