Welcome to KDV Peuteropvang IKC Dom Helder Camara, located at Onnemaheerd 2 in the Beijum district of Groningen. We are part of the Integral Child Centre Dom Helder Camara, an ecumenical child centre that combines education, childcare and care under one roof. Since 3 December 2020, our day-care centre has been registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) for a maximum of 16 children, offering a safe and familiar place for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Our toddler care works closely with the primary school and the after-school care within the same building, creating one continuous developmental and learning line for your child. We use a horizontal group structure: the toddlers are in their own group, separate from other age groups. This provides calm and familiarity and fits perfectly with the world of 2- to 4-year-olds. For children with an early childhood education (VVE) indication, we provide pre-school education. Our activities focus on stimulating language and speech development so that your child is well prepared to start primary school. We follow the pedagogical work plan of IKC Dom Helder Camara, which clearly describes how we deal with the development of young children. Parents are actively involved through Social Schools, allowing you to easily exchange messages, view photos and report attendance. Feel free to drop by for a tour.
