Welcome to IKC De Wegwijzer Out-of-School Care, located at Prunusstraat 76 in the Selwerd district of Groningen. Since 1 September 2023 we have been part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) De Wegwijzer, where childcare and primary education blend seamlessly. Our BSO team works closely with the school teachers, ensuring your child sees the same familiar faces throughout the day and experiences one continuous developmental line. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13, both before and after school. Our before-school care opens at 7:30 AM and runs until 8:30 AM, giving your child a calm start to the school day. After-school care begins immediately after classes end and continues until 6:30 PM. During school holidays we are open all day and offer a varied activity programme. Children can come straight from school to the BSO, where our pedagogical staff are ready to welcome them. At IKC De Wegwijzer the child is at the centre. We offer a safe, homely environment where children can be themselves and follow their own interests. After a busy school day there is space to relax, play and discover new things. Our activities match the age and world of experience of the children. Think creative craft corners, sports and games in the gym, or simply playing outside on our challenging playground. We believe it is important that children can choose what they feel like doing. During holidays we also provide plenty of care. We organise outings and themed days, planning fun activities together with the children. Think of a day at the zoo, a city scavenger hunt or creative workshops.
