Basker IKC – de Toorts

Welcome to the daycare center of IKC de Toorts, located at Marsweg 5 in Didam. We provide childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and familiar environment. Our toddler group uses the development-oriented Startblokken method to optimally prepare your child for the transition to primary school. The group is situated close to the kindergarten classes, with whom we collaborate intensively. This allows toddlers to become familiar with school life in a natural and playful way. Our pedagogical staff create a rich learning environment tailored to the individual developmental needs of each child. We focus on language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional development. Daily activities include sports, crafts, and pre-academic skills. We work with meaningful themes and encourage children to explore, discover, and actively participate in their learning process. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily schedule. We use a challenging discovery garden and a safe outdoor playground. We also provide sufficient rest periods in separate sleeping areas. Our location has its own group room and works closely with the Integral Child Center, allowing children to become accustomed to the school environment from an early age.
