Welcome to the Daycare Centre (KDV) of IKC De Tichelaar, located at Nijmeegsestraat 1 in the centre of Gendt. We are part of the Integral Child Centre De Tichelaar, a unique collaboration between Jenaplan primary school De Tichelaar and childcare organisation Zonnekinderen. In our modern, multifunctional building we provide children aged 0 to 4 with a safe, stimulating environment where play and development go hand in hand. Our KDV has been officially registered since 5 June 2013 and offers places for up to 32 children. We work according to the vision “every child as the shining centre”. Our team of dedicated childcare professionals tailor everything to the needs, interests and talents of your child. Thanks to the close cooperation with the Jenaplan school, there is a continuous developmental line from 0 to 13 years; your child never has to get used to a new environment or new faces. For the very youngest we have quiet baby corners with cots and armchairs for feeding and cuddling moments. Toddlers and pre-schoolers can let off steam in the spacious, playful group rooms that open onto a secure outdoor play area. We offer both full days and half-day sessions, Monday to Friday from 7.00 am to 6.30 pm. Toddler care is available from 8.15 or 8.45 am to 12.15 pm. Because we are affiliated with the National Childcare Register (LRK), you can apply for childcare allowance. At IKC De Tichelaar, pre-school education (VE) is a high priority. We follow the Jenaplan concept, in which children develop language, numeracy and social skills through play. Our childcare professionals work intensively with the primary school teachers, so that your child can move seamlessly into the reception classes. We communicate with parents via the Parro app, parent portal and monthly newsletters, so you are always kept informed of your child’s development.
