IKC De Stern KDV

Welcome to IKC De Stern KDV, located at Woensdrechtstraat 11 in Rotterdam. As part of Kindcentrum De Stern, we provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, natural environment focused on holistic development. Our pedagogical team works daily with heart, mind, and hands to support each child’s growth. We believe every child is unique and give them space to discover and develop their talents. We focus on learning through play. Our rich and varied activity program includes dance, crafts, painting, drama, and music every week. Nature and the rhythm of the seasons play an important role. We spend a lot of time outdoors, where children play in and learn from nature. These outdoor experiences foster curiosity, creativity, and motor development. Our daycare works closely with the primary school within the same child center. This ensures a smooth transition from care to education and gives children confidence and continuity. We use horizontal groups, where children are grouped by age. This provides calm and structure and allows us to tailor activities to each child’s developmental stage. We value parental involvement and work together with parents on their child’s development, maintaining regular communication about progress. Our location is easily accessible by bike and car, with free parking available. IKC De Stern KDV is a collaboration between SARO and HefGroep-KindeRdam.
