BSO IKC De Springplank

BSO IKC De Springplank is located at the Integral Child Centre De Springplank on Irisvaart 6-8 in Zoetermeer. We are part of gro-up childcare and provide after-school care for up to 30 children aged 6 to 12. Our location works closely with primary schools De Springplank and De Spelevaert. After school, our pedagogical staff pick up the children and guide them to our own after-school room in the same building. Upon arrival, we start with a shared meal. Children eat in small groups with their regular mentor, taking into account the different school hours. Afterwards, children can choose from various activities. We offer creative corners for building and crafting, a quiet reading area and space for board games. Our pedagogical staff supervise sports activities on the adjacent school playground or in the gym. We collaborate with the sports coordinator of the municipality of Zoetermeer. During school holidays, we organise an extensive activity programme. Think of outings to an amusement park, museum or ice rink. Parents receive a holiday booklet in advance with all planned activities. We also regularly make small trips in the neighbourhood during school weeks, such as a scavenger hunt through the neighbourhood or shopping for a cooking activity. We use the nearby shopping centre to carry out activities in real life. We value parental involvement. We use a parent app for registrations and regularly share photos and reports. Our location manager Mandy Stuger is always available for personal conversations. Together with parents, we ensure a safe and challenging environment where children can develop optimally.
