IKC De Singel

Welcome to IKC De Singel, located at Kruidenpad 1 in the Holy Noord district of Vlaardingen. We are an Integral Child Centre and part of Stichting Wijzer in Care and Education. At our location, we provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Our toddler care follows a clear vision: every child is unique and is given the space to develop in their own way. We focus on the core values of security, challenge and enjoyment. Play and learning take place in small groups with a maximum of 16 children per session, guided by two experienced pedagogical staff. We work with a continuous developmental line and tailor our offer to the needs of the child. The toddler care is set up with different development corners where children can play, discover and experiment. We offer activities that connect with the world of experience of young children, such as crafts, reading aloud, singing and role play. We also pay attention to language development and social skills. We work with fixed daily routines in which rest and regularity are central, so that children feel safe and secure. Parents are actively involved in the development of their child. We use the Kidsconnect app to keep parents informed of their child's experiences. In addition, regular parent meetings take place and there is a parent committee that helps think about policy. We strive for an open and trusted collaboration between parents, child and our team. Our location is easily accessible and close to the Van Hogendorpplein shopping centre. We are open four sessions per week during school weeks (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 12.30pm), not on Wednesdays. We are closed during school holidays and public holidays.
