IKC De Regenboog

Welcome to IKC De Regenboog, located at Parksingel 7 in the heart of Bemmel. We are an Integral Child Centre where daycare, toddler care, primary education and after-school care blend seamlessly. For our youngest guests – from 0 to 4 years – we provide a warm, safe and development-oriented environment where every child is given space to discover at their own pace. Our baby and toddler groups follow a horizontal structure: the baby group (0-2 years) and the toddler group (2-4 years) each have their own calm, age-specific rooms designed around their unique needs. The pedagogical staff of the daycare have extensive experience with the very youngest and follow Early Childhood Education (VVE) to stimulate language, motor skills and social interaction through play. Every day there is plenty of room for cuddles, songs, story time and exploring our natural garden. Autonomy and joy are at the heart of everything we do. We believe children gain confidence by exploring, trying and experiencing. That is why we work thematically: from fairy tales and water to fantasy and movement. Music, dance, drama, art and yoga are all part of the programme, often supported by guest teachers such as musicians or visual artists. The creative process a child goes through is more important than the end result. Our large, green outdoor garden is a true play oasis: a willow tunnel, sandbox, hiding spots and a “willow yurt” invite free play. We go outside every day – wind, rain or shine – and let children romp, balance, cycle and discover. The natural garden not only stimulates motor development but also imagination and cooperation. Healthy, nutritious meals are central. Our cook prepares a warm, organic meal daily with fresh ingredients. Vegetarian or halal options are available and we are happy to adjust the menu for food allergies. We also involve children in cooking: cutting vegetables together, tasting and discovering where food comes from. Trust, joy and respect are our core values.
