IKC De Kasteeltuyn

Welcome to daycare centre IKC De Kasteeltuyn, located in the recently renovated building at Rakkersveld 141 in the Palenstein district of Zoetermeer. As part of gro-up, our small-scale location offers a homely, warm atmosphere where children aged 0 to 4 can develop in safety and security. Every child quickly feels at home here; all children know all the pedagogical staff and each other, creating a familiar environment where many first friendships are formed. We work with changing themes to create a development-oriented range of activities. Each day, children are free to choose what they want to do. Our activities are designed to spark curiosity and stimulate development, such as toddler gym, celebrating Children's Book Week, National Reading Days, Mud Day and King’s Day. We also take part in the annual Day of Palenstein together with our partners in the neighbourhood. The transition to primary school is smooth. We work closely with primary school De Kasteeltuyn, with which we form an integral child centre (IKC). Three-year-olds are welcome to take a look at school so they know what to expect. We always hold a transfer meeting with the teacher to make the move as seamless as possible. Our team of experienced pedagogical staff is ready every day to guide the children whenever needed. We believe it is important for parents to stay involved in their child’s development. Through our parent app, parents can safely follow their child’s experiences.
