Basker IKC – de Expeditie

Welcome to the daycare centre of IKC de Expeditie, located at Reinskamp 2 in Didam. We are part of Zonnekinderen and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in two vertical groups: Group Pink (0-3 years) and Group Purple (0-4 years). Our pedagogical staff follow a pedagogical policy in which we playfully challenge children in their motor, cognitive, language and creative development. We work with themes that connect to the world of experience of young children and offer activities such as crafts, singing, reading aloud and movement within these themes. Our group rooms are homely and colourfully furnished and we have a safe, fenced outdoor area that we share with Zozijn. This garden offers plenty of opportunities for nature and outdoor play. We believe it is important that children feel emotionally safe and offer structure and security through a clear daily routine with fixed moments for playing, sleeping, eating and changing. For the very youngest we have separate sleeping areas and we provide bottle feeding, nappies and care products. We work closely with parents via the parent portal Social Schools, where you can find photos, reports and appointments. We also offer pre-school education (VVE), focused on language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional development.
