IKC Ambacht (HEDO)

Welcome to IKC Ambacht (HEDO), our daycare center located at Pompenburgsingel 91 in Vlaardingen. As part of UN1EK Education and Childcare, we provide full-day care for children aged 0 to 4 years at this location. We are open 52 weeks a year from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and have capacity for 43 children. At IKC Ambacht, we believe in a continuous developmental line for children from 0 to 13 years. Our pedagogical staff fully align their approach and pedagogical climate with the educational vision of the IKC. We work intensively with the school and other forms of childcare within the same building, providing children with a recognizable and safe environment. Our full-day care is designed to give children space to play, discover, and develop. We offer preschool education (VE), with special attention to language development and social skills. This forms an excellent preparation for primary school. The connection between childcare and education is evident in themes that we jointly focus on. We collaborate with various care partners and have a care coordinator who facilitates cooperation between parents, pedagogical staff, and any care providers. In this way, we ensure optimal development for every child.
