IKC Ambacht (BSO)

Welcome to IKC Ambacht – an Integral Child Centre in the heart of Vlaardingen where children aged 4 to 13 can enjoy safe, educational and above all fun after-school care. Our BSO is part of Stichting UN1EK and is located on the same site as the primary school at Chrysantstraat 7, so children walk straight from class to a familiar place where they are welcomed by our permanent team of pedagogical professionals. We offer several forms of after-school care that align with the profile and vision of our IKC. In addition to regular BSO, we have a special sports-outdoor BSO in the Broekpolder for sporty children. Here they can let off steam in nature, move around through play and work together in challenging outdoor activities. Our approach is designed to stimulate children’s development through thematic work, linking up with themes that are also central within the school. This creates a continuous line between education and care. Care takes place in and around the school building. We work with a pedagogical climate tailored to the age and perception of the children. There is room for relaxation, play and development. During study days and school holidays, we provide care based on holiday programmes that we compile together with the children. Parents arrange everything easily via UN1EK’s Parent Portal, where they can put together care packages and have direct insight into availability and rates. In short: at IKC Ambacht, fun, development and connection are central. We offer children a familiar place where they feel safe, discover new things and can play and learn together with friends.
