IK-OOK Zilverackers

Welcome to IK-OOK Zilverackers, our modern after-school care located at De Brink 3 in Veldhoven. Since May 6 2024 we are housed in a brand-new building, right across from our previous location. Together with Dick Bruna primary school we form an integral child centre where children can come straight after school. Our BSO accommodates 44 children aged 4 to 13. We work with horizontal groups: group Zilverweide started with a maximum of 22 children and group Huysakker will open as soon as growth allows. Children come to us directly after school. During study days and school holidays we collaborate with location de Roek. The spaces are bright, spacious and inviting, furnished with natural materials and large windows. The heart of our care is the large kitchen with cooking island where children gather. Around it you will find various play corners: a home corner for role-play, a quiet reading corner with books, group tables for crafts and creative activities. All materials are in open shelves so children can choose what they want to do. Our outdoor area is the shared playground of the school. It offers numerous play opportunities and encourages natural play and movement. We regularly organise sports and games activities, but children decide for themselves whether to join. Our pedagogical staff provide professional guidance that matches each child's developmental stage. We use Kindplanner as parent portal. Here we share photos, information and important documents with parents, so you are always informed about what your child experiences with us. At IK-OOK Zilverackers your child feels at home and has the space to relax and develop in his or her own way after school.
