Hygieaplein 47

Welcome to our daycare center at Hygieaplein 47 in Amsterdam. We are part of the Stichting Vrije Peuterklassen Amsterdam (SVPA) and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our educational approach is based on anthroposophical principles, emphasizing the importance of play, imagination, and development at each child's own pace. Our spaces are designed to give children the freedom to play and explore. We use natural materials and offer activities such as painting, drawing, singing, and movement. Eurythmy and gymnastics are regular parts of our program, focusing on both gross and fine motor skills. The garden surrounding the building provides ample opportunities for outdoor play and contact with nature. The transition from playful learning to more structured activities happens gradually. For the youngest children, we provide a calm environment with consistent routines around sleeping and eating. For older children, we prepare them for the next step in their development, always taking into account their individual pace and interests. We believe it is important that every child feels safe and seen. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide the children in their development and provide extra attention when needed. Together with parents, we create a warm and familiar environment in which children can grow into free and engaged individuals.
