Hummeltjeshonk

Welcome to Hummeltjeshonk, our daycare centre in the heart of Zwartsluis. For over 25 years we have been a trusted partner for families with children aged 0 to 4. Our location is at Julianastraat 24d, in the scouting building, where we proudly offer 16 childcare places. We operate according to a horizontal group structure within the core group 'De Banjers'. Children are grouped by age, allowing us to closely monitor and stimulate each child’s development. Our qualified pedagogical staff work according to the Childcare CAO. Every parent and child is assigned a fixed mentor who serves as the contact point for questions about development and well-being. Indoors, the space is arranged with various play corners: a home corner, a shop, a tool corner and a baby corner, all tailored to the children’s ages. Outdoors, children enjoy a sandbox, playhouse, climbing frame, picnic tables and plenty of room to cycle and run. In summer, trees provide natural shade and an extra parasol ensures protection from the sun. We are open Monday to Friday and work closely with Stichting Kinderdagcentra Zwartewaterland (SKZ). Our aim is to provide a safe, familiar environment where children can develop through play and interaction.
