BSO Totempaal

BSO Totempaal is located at Paradijsplein 4 in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost and has provided trusted after-school care for up to 66 children aged 4 to 13 since 1 January 2010. We are part of Stichting Humankind and officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 770663564. Our doors are open every weekday from 14:15 to 18:30. We collect the children safely from school when needed and then literally give them space in our large indoor and outdoor areas. The location has its own garden where children can romp, explore and unwind after a busy school day. Inside there is plenty of room to play, do crafts or quietly do homework under the guidance of our experienced pedagogical staff. Our groups are organised vertically: children aged 4 to 13 are together, with activities always tailored to the different age groups. The youngest infants receive extra guidance, while older children can independently choose activities that match their interests. We are also open on study days and school holidays; the programme is then adapted to the number of children present and may take place at another Humankind location if necessary. Parents register their child for BSO from the second birthday onwards, so we can guarantee a place as soon as primary school starts.
