BSO de Kleine Wereld - Blokstoeke

BSO de Kleine Wereld – Blokstoeke is located in the community school building of Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk, right next to primary school Blokstoeke and one other school. Our staff collect the children straight after the last lesson; we are always waiting a few minutes before the bell rings so no child has to wait. For us, after-school care is real free time. Children arrive after a long school day and need space to relax, but also to discover new things. We regularly cook with the children; they not only learn healthy recipes but also practise cooperation and independence. In addition, we serve a warm meal every afternoon so parents no longer need to rush home to cook. The location has room for 22 children. We work in one vertical group: children aged 4 to 12 are together. Younger children learn from the older ones, and older children develop a sense of responsibility by looking after the younger ones. We believe every child should be able to be themselves and grow at their own pace. Therefore we offer a safe, homely environment where fun comes first. BSO de Kleine Wereld – Blokstoeke is part of Stichting Humankind. We follow the pedagogical policy of De Kleine Wereld, which is based on respect for each child’s unique character. Parents and staff work together on the child’s development, making the after-school care a natural extension of home and school.
