BSO Drakennest

BSO Drakennest is an after-school care location run by Stichting Humankind in Heeswijk-Dinther, located at Pastoor Maasstraat 15a. We provide care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. At BSO Drakennest children actively help decide which activities we do and what play materials we buy. Involving them in shaping their own after-school programme teaches them to think along, take part and make decisions. Together we turn every day into a great time. We pick children up from nearby primary schools. The youngest children are always collected in person. If the distance is too far (more than 15–20 minutes on foot) we arrange transport by car, minibus or taxi. We also provide care on teacher-training days and study days. How these days are organised depends on the number of registrations; sometimes care takes place at another Humankind location. Our pedagogical staff work in mixed-age groups bringing together children aged 4 to 12. Within these groups we make sure the activities suit every child. We believe it is important that children feel safe and at ease so they can develop to their full potential.
