de Knalhut

We are BSO De Knalhut, an after-school care facility of Humankind located at Reerinklanden 55 in Enschede. Our location accommodates up to 88 children aged 4 to 13 years. We have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since February 15, 2012, under number 213518107. At De Knalhut, we work with both horizontal and vertical group structures, always tailoring our activities to the different age groups. We have an outdoor playground where children can enjoy fresh air and play freely. Our pedagogical staff always pick up the youngest children from school. For schools located more than 15-20 minutes walking distance, we provide transportation by car, van, or taxi when needed. We provide care from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are also open on teacher training days and study days. The program for these special days is announced at the beginning of the school year. Our location is part of the Integral Child Center Meerlanden, through which we collaborate with Godfried Bomans primary school and other schools in the area. Children at De Knalhut are actively involved in planning and organizing activities. Recently, our children organized a KiKa market with handmade crafts and baked cookies to raise money for the KiKa Foundation. We believe it's important for children to learn to think about the world around them and actively contribute to society.
