De Bijenkorf

BSO De Bijenkorf is located in Basisschool De Jonge Helden at Ravenhorsthoek 38 in Enschede and is part of Kinderopvang Humankind. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a familiar school environment. Our location is situated on the edge of the neighborhood, allowing us to utilize nearby sports fields and a forest for natural and adventurous play activities. Our pedagogical approach focuses on creating a safe and challenging environment where children can develop. We use horizontal grouping, placing children of the same age together, which allows us to tailor activities and guidance to the specific developmental stage of the children. Upon arrival at the after-school care, children receive a drink and a snack, after which they can share about their school day. This is always a cozy moment of relaxation and connection. Afterwards, children can choose from various activities, ranging from sports and games to creative and nature-based activities. We make use of the extensive school playground and the immediate surroundings for outdoor activities. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. We pick up children from school, with our staff personally collecting the youngest children. For schools located more than 15-20 minutes walking distance away, we provide transportation by car, minibus, or taxi. All Humankind locations are officially registered with the municipality and meet all legal requirements.
