BSO De Belhamels

BSO De Belhamels is a homely after-school care centre in the Brabant village of Loosbroek, located at Dorpsstraat 44. We are part of Stichting Humankind and welcome up to 22 children aged 4 to 13. Our team of pedagogical staff receives children on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. We are closed on Wednesdays. We pick the children up from the primary schools in the immediate area after school. The youngest children are always collected personally; older children may come independently or by bicycle, depending on distance. If the school is more than 15–20 minutes’ walk away, we arrange safe transport by car, minibus or taxi. At De Belhamels we work in vertical groups (ages 4–13) whenever possible. Within each mixed-age group we tailor activities to the different age ranges, so every child feels both challenged and secure. We offer quiet corners for homework, creative spaces for crafts and plenty of outdoor opportunities to move. We are also open on teacher training days and study days. The exact programme is announced at the start of the school year, based on the number of registrations. Parents are advised to register their child for after-school care around the child’s second birthday; placement is on a first-come, first-served basis according to availability.
