Huisje Boompje Beestje – Bezuidenhout is located in a beautiful, classic townhouse at Bezuidenhoutseweg 231, right across from the Haagsche Bos. In this green, small-scale daycare centre, up to 22 children aged 0 to 4 are given every opportunity to develop in a homely atmosphere. We work with one vertical group, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. The rooms are furnished like a real home: soft colours, wooden furniture, natural materials and a seasonal table that changes throughout the year. We believe in fewer stimuli and more calm, so every child has the time to discover at their own pace. Outside there is a large garden with vegetable patches and a long dining table where we bake bread and experience the seasons. Every day we go into the forest or take a walk through the neighbourhood. We cook with organic ingredients and sit together at a carefully set table. For the very youngest there is a separate baby group (0 – 1.5/2.5 years) with its own sleeping corners, each with a canopy and soft blankets. Bottle feeding, sleep routines and cuddles are naturally provided. Our pedagogical policy is designed to give children confidence and curiosity. We communicate according to the Gordon method and provide internal training for our pedagogical staff, so that they can see, hear and understand every child. We live with the seasons, pay attention to big and small things, and believe it is important that children feel safe and welcome.
