Welcome to Huis de B, our daycare center located in the vibrant Schildersbuurt district of Groningen. We provide childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years in a warm, homely environment where play and learning go hand in hand. Our mission is simple yet powerful: play together, learn together, and try everything! At our center, the child is always at the heart of everything we do. We believe children develop best through play, discovery and experimentation. That's why we've deliberately chosen small-scale groups where each child has space to be themselves. Our core pedagogical values - growth, respect, freedom and homeliness - are tangibly present in everything we do. Each group has its own living room with different degrees of freedom, so children feel safe and secure while discovering the world around them. Our location at Adriaan van Ostadestraat 38 is specially designed for our youngest children. We work with Early Childhood Education programs that perfectly match the developmental stage of toddlers. Through play, we work on language development, motor skills and social interaction. Our childcare staff each have their own talents and passions - from music and dance to arts and crafts and cooking - which they enthusiastically share with the children. We believe it's important for children to discover the outside world too. That's why we regularly go on excursions in the neighborhood and make full use of our beautiful outdoor play area. In our own kitchen, we prepare healthy meals and snacks together with the children, taking into account any allergies and dietary requirements. This way, children not only learn about healthy nutrition but also develop important skills like cooperation and independence. At Huis de B, we work closely with parents because we believe good childcare is a shared responsibility. We offer flexible childcare options, including half days, to make combining work and parenting truly enjoyable for parents. Curious?
