Hoeve Boeve

Hoeve Boeve is a small-scale daycare centre in Bocholtz, municipality of Simpelveld. We value cosiness, a homely atmosphere and outdoor living. We offer playtime fun for children up to 4 years old in a snug square-farm setting. An open, honest and warm atmosphere prevails, where parent and child feel welcome. Our childcare is provided in core groups. This means that children are placed in a fixed group with fixed pedagogical staff, allowing them to become familiar with the environment and the caregivers. We deliberately work in horizontal groups: one group for babies and toddlers and one group for pre-schoolers. This creates the calm and regularity babies need, while pre-schoolers receive activities that suit their age. Our pedagogical staff can therefore respond well to each child’s needs and developmental stage. Throughout the day, children from both groups regularly see each other. The groups are adjacent on the ground floor and open onto a shared courtyard and play meadow outside, where they can interact and learn from each other. At Hoeve Boeve, children play in and around our square farm. We provide plenty of space for outdoor play and let children experience farm life every day. Animals and nature are central: children can watch the farm animals, help in the vegetable garden and enjoy the fresh air. In addition, there is a unique collaboration with care farm Hoeve Scholtissenhof, located on the same site. Under supervision, the children regularly visit the elderly in day care. These encounters promote respect, happiness and cooperation between young and old. Hoeve Boeve is affiliated with the United Agricultural Childcare (VAK) and has room for up to 32 children.
