Hoera Heythuysen

Welcome to Hoera Heythuysen, location De Neerakker – a warm and professional daycare centre in the heart of Heythuysen. We provide care for children aged 2 to 4 in a homely and safe environment, where every child is given the space to develop at their own pace. Our daycare is part of Hoera Kindercentra, an organisation that believes in the importance of growing up in one’s own community, including for children who need extra care or attention. At De Neerakker, we work with horizontal groups, where children are grouped by age. This provides calm and structure and aligns with the developmental stage of toddlers. We offer both full-day care and a toddler programme, using Early Childhood Education (VVE). This programme supports language, numeracy and social skills in a playful and natural way. We work thematically and offer activities such as arts and crafts, reading aloud, singing and learning through play in nature. Our spacious group areas are bright and welcoming, designed with attention to rest and sensory processing. We have a dedicated sleep room where children can rest when needed. In addition, we have a secure outdoor play area where children can run, explore and play in the fresh air. The garden is designed with natural materials and offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and motor development. Communication with parents is very important to us. Each child has a fixed contact person, and we keep parents informed through the parent portal. There is also room for personal conversations and parent meetings. We follow the school holidays of De Neerakker primary school, with whom we closely cooperate as part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC). At Hoera Heythuysen, the child is at the centre. We offer a familiar place where children feel safe, can grow and have fun – every single day.
