Welcome to Daycare Het Zonnelicht located at Rijnstraat 559 in 's-Hertogenbosch. For over 35 years, we have been providing children aged 0 to 4 with a loving and stimulating environment to grow and develop. Our daycare is situated in a green, peaceful area, just a stone's throw from the Oosterplas lake, nature playground and De Oosterhoeve petting zoo. This unique location allows children to connect daily with nature, animals and sustainability. Our pedagogical approach is based on a neo-humanistic vision where the child is central. We guide children in discovering and developing their self-awareness, helping them become conscious of their unique talents and possibilities. Our professional pedagogical staff work from three core values: love for people, plants, animals and the environment; self-awareness and learning through experience; and service to an honest and sustainable world. At Het Zonnelicht, we work with vertical groups where children aged 0 to 4 play and learn together. This setup stimulates social development and offers younger children the opportunity to learn from older children. We provide an extensive development program tailored to each child's individual needs and interests. Our activities focus on sports, movement, creativity and relaxation. This includes making music, dancing, painting and crafting in our own studio, as well as caring for plants and animals in our vegetable garden and during weekly visits to the petting zoo. We believe it's important for children to learn healthy and sustainable living. Therefore, we pay great attention to healthy nutrition with daily fresh fruit, organic products and vegetarian warm meals. We accommodate allergies and dietary requirements. We also teach children through play how to care for our planet, for example by separating waste, saving water and showing respect for nature. For parents, we regularly offer courses and workshops on parenting topics such as nutrition, loving boundary setting and promoting self-reliance in children. We are open 50 weeks per year, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We have space for 87 children at our location. We work closely with De Driestroom Free School and Montessori KC Aan de Oosterplas, which are located next to us.
