Het Zandkasteel

Kinderdagverblijf Het Zandkasteel is part of Stichting Forte Kinderopvang and is located at Asserlaan 1 in Castricum, right next to the Geesterduin shopping centre. The daycare shares a spacious building with peuteropvang ’t Drempeltje and BSO Het Vossenhol, making it easy for brothers and sisters of different ages to attend the same site. We provide care for up to 50 children aged 0 to 4 years and offer flexible contracts from as little as one day per week. Our groups are organised as baby groups (0-2 years), toddler groups (2-4 years) and mixed-age groups (0-4 years). Each group room is very spacious and includes a child-safe kitchen, allowing children to take part in cooking and baking activities safely. We follow a structured VVE (Early Childhood Education) programme that is tailored to each child’s developmental stage and interests. Regular themed activities, BookStart sessions and reading moments support language and communication development. What truly sets Het Zandkasteel apart is its enormous outdoor area. The garden is an adventure waiting to happen: plenty of green space, play fields, a track for scooters and ride-on toys, and exciting paths for chasing games. The youngest children have their own secure section with age-appropriate equipment. A special feature is our outdoor sleeping beds—children can nap in the fresh air whenever they wish. We spend a large part of every day outside, because outdoor play is just as important as indoor activities. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome the children every day with warmth and expertise. Parents describe the team as caring and friendly, giving them confidence to leave their child in our care. Opening hours are 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and warm meals are provided. In short, Het Zandkasteel offers children a safe, rich and stimulating environment in which to grow and play.
