Het Startblok

Welcome to the daycare center of Het Startblok, located at Burgemeester Van Haarenlaan 871 in Schiedam. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe and stimulating environment. Our team of experienced childcare professionals ensures that every child receives the attention they deserve. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers are cared for in separate age groups. Your child's development is central to us. We offer various activities such as music, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. Our spacious garden provides ample opportunities for nature and outdoor learning. We have separate sleeping rooms where children can rest peacefully. For the youngest ones, we provide diapers, wipes and bottle feeding. For older toddlers, we serve healthy snacks and bread meals. We take allergies and special diets into account, such as vegetarian or lactose-free options. Our preschool education prepares toddlers for primary school. We collaborate with Het Startblok primary school, ensuring a smooth transition from childcare to primary education. Parents can choose between full or half-day care. We value good communication with parents and therefore take ample time for handover during drop-off and pick-up.
