Kinderdagverblijf Het Springkruid / De Wouw

Kinderdagverblijf Het Springkruid is part of the Jokidé Foundation and is located at Broeksteeg 42 in the heart of Zalk. We provide childcare for up to 10 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is GGD-certified and features a spacious outdoor play area where children can safely play and explore. At Het Springkruid, we follow the Gordon Method. This means we see children as unique individuals whom we guide with respect and understanding. We use active listening, I-messages, and clear structure to provide children with a safe and familiar environment. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in recognizing the needs of young children and respond to them sensitively. The daily schedule is calm and predictable. We start the morning with free play, followed by a communal bread moment where we sing and eat together. For the youngest ones, we provide bottle feeding and diaper changes according to the child's own rhythm. Around noon, there is rest and nap time in our separate sleeping rooms. Children who are awake have the opportunity to play with carefully selected toys or participate in a craft activity. We pay great attention to language development by talking to children during play and daily routines. Reading is done daily, where children can enjoy picture books in a quiet corner. When the weather is nice, we go outside where children can romp in our garden or on the playground equipment. Parents experience an open and personal approach with us. Each child has a fixed mentor who knows the child well and with whom parents can discuss development. We use a parent app through which parents stay informed about the day and can view photos. Flexible childcare is possible, with opening hours from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Het Springkruid is located in the village hall of Zalk, making us part of a vibrant community. We collaborate with other organizations in the village and occasionally organize parties where all children are welcome. Thus, we not only provide childcare but are an extension of the family in a warm, village setting.
