Het Speelhuisje

Welcome to Het Speelhuisje, a small-scale daycare centre with a homely atmosphere located at Hofstede 2a in Volendam. We care for a maximum of 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Each child is assigned a dedicated mentor who closely monitors development through an individual tracking system; findings are regularly discussed with parents to ensure a seamless developmental path towards primary school. Our pedagogical policy focuses on providing emotional security while stimulating motor, creative, cognitive and language skills. We explicitly address every developmental stage and convey norms and values in a playful manner. A clear daily schedule within our fixed peer groups offers rest, regularity and recognition. Infants have their own separate sleeping room; the toddler group enjoys a spacious, green outdoor play area directly adjacent to the building. Het Speelhuisje is officially recognised for early childhood education (VVE). From the age of 2.5, children can receive at least 960 hours of structured early education. We use a carefully designed programme that fosters development in language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional abilities. Our qualified early-education staff provide responsible guidance with a maximum group size of eight children per carer. In short, Het Speelhuisje offers children a safe, familiar place where they can grow and develop through play, both indoors and outdoors.
