Het Piratenschip

Welcome to daycare centre Het Piratenschip, part of Junis (formerly Gro-up). Located at Woerdlaan 14 in De Meern, we provide day-care for 60 children aged 0-4 in mixed-age groups. Our programme follows the VVE language-development curriculum “Boekstart”, giving even the youngest babies a head start in communication. The natural garden surrounding the building serves as our outdoor classroom, where children explore seasons, plants and animals while learning through play. In our spacious, child-friendly kitchen we regularly cook and bake together—anything from vegetable soup to homemade pancakes—helping children discover flavours, smells and textures while training fine motor skills. Every child enjoys a freshly prepared warm meal, adapted for allergies or dietary needs when required. Safety and security are paramount: the premises feature a secure entrance and quiet sleeping rooms where children can rest whenever they need.
