Het Koekoeksnest

Welcome to Daycare Het Koekoeksnest, a gro-up location in the Oosterheem district of Zoetermeer. We provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a safe and homely environment. Our location has 108 childcare places and works with horizontal groups, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers are cared for in age groups. We believe a good transition to primary school is very important. That's why we start working on your child's development early on and ensure a smooth transition. For children aged 2.5 to 4 years who qualify, we offer Early Childhood Education (ECE). This program playfully stimulates language, math and social development. Our pedagogical staff are all trained at secondary vocational or higher professional level and guarantee professional care. Each group has a fixed team of 3 to 4 staff members, so your child sees familiar faces. We work with a mentor per child who pays extra attention to development and is the contact person for parents. For the very youngest, rest, cleanliness and regularity are central. We adjust the sleep and feeding schedule as much as possible to your baby's needs. For toddlers and preschoolers, we use a fixed daily schedule with fixed times for eating, sleeping and playing. This provides structure and recognizability. We have a nature garden where children can play and discover. Outdoor play is an important part of our offering. We believe it's important that children have space to move and discover nature. Parents bring their own diapers, but we have a diaper changing policy where we regularly check and schedule changing moments. Breast milk can be brought cooled and we offer the possibility to feed on location. For dietary requirements or allergies, we coordinate this with parents and take this into account.
