Het Kleinhuys

Welcome to Het Kleinhuys, our small-scale anthroposophical daycare centre located at Schaapsdrift 26 in Arnhem. We provide care for up to 22 children aged 0 to 4 years in homely groups, each with a dedicated caregiver, allowing every child to feel secure and develop at their own pace. Our building is situated in a quiet area and features a sunny, sheltered garden where children play daily with wooden toys and experience the seasons up close. We follow anthroposophical principles: the rhythm of the day, the seasons and the annual festivals form our guiding framework. This gives children a natural alternation between activity and rest, group and individual moments. The living and sleeping areas are warmly and homely furnished with natural materials. We serve exclusively organic food and take allergies and special dietary requirements into account. For the youngest ones we provide bottle feeding and a peaceful sleeping area. Parents can also opt for half-day care. Artistic activities such as painting, modelling and singing are part of our daily programme. In addition, we work a lot with our hands in the vegetable garden; sowing, harvesting and tasting give children a direct connection with nature. We mainly play outside in our safe Kleinhuys garden, where imagination and movement are given free rein. We look forward to welcoming you and your child into our warm, safe environment.
