Welcome to Het Kleine Rijk ’s-Gravendijkwal, our warm daycare centre located in a beautiful townhouse in the heart of Rotterdam. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely environment where rhythm, routine and wellbeing are central. Our approach focuses on involvement, wellbeing and sustainability. We work with horizontal groups, ensuring each age group receives the attention it needs. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to guide the children with care and attention. We use songs to begin and end activities, giving structure to the day. These songs are even available on CD for parents, so the familiar melodies can also be heard at home. Our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and natural experiences. We believe in the power of being outdoors and give children space to discover, play and grow in a safe environment. For the youngest ones, we have separate sleeping areas where rest and routine are paramount. We provide brown or wholemeal bread with healthy toppings such as chicken fillet, ham, cucumber salad and hummus. We consciously choose less fat and salt, so children eat healthy and tasty food. Nappies and bottle feeding are included with us, so parents can work without worry. As a certified childcare provider, we offer preschool education (VVE), preparing children for primary school through play. We are affiliated with the Branch Organisation for Childcare and work with fixed group leaders. Flexible childcare and the possibility to swap days are available. Our location is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00. We stand for personal attention, small-scale care and a warm, homely atmosphere where every child feels safe and loved.
