Het Kasteeltje

Welcome to Daycare Het Kasteeltje, located at Voor de Kijkuit 32 in the centre of Tiel. We are one of three daycare centres within the small-scale organisation Het Kasteeltje B.V. and provide care for up to 22 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our homely building is within walking distance of Tiel-Centrum shopping centre and has its own, safely enclosed outdoor playground where children can run, climb and explore every day. Natural development is at the heart of everything we do. Under the theme ‘Green Fingers’ we work weekly in our vegetable garden. Together with the children we sow, tend and harvest fruit and vegetables. These experiences are used to teach healthy eating, growth processes and respect for nature. The harvest goes straight onto the menu: think home-picked strawberries for a snack or a salad made from our own lettuce. Our groups are arranged horizontally, so activities match your child’s developmental stage. Babies have a quiet sleeping room with cribs and changing tables, while toddlers play, craft and build in a separate area. We work with fixed pedagogical staff who really get to know your child. Short lines of communication with parents are important to us: you have direct contact with management and can always drop in for a chat. Children receive a hot meal and fresh fruit, taking allergies or dietary requirements into account. You bring formula for babies; we ensure everything is freshly prepared on site. Diapers and wipes are also supplied by parents so we use the brand your child is used to. At midday the children sleep in our quiet bedrooms; babies in their own crib, toddlers on a bed with their favourite cuddly toy.
