Het Eendennest

Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Het Eendennest in Zoetermeer Dorp. In this cosy place your child will quickly feel at home. Our dedicated pedagogical staff give your child all the space and support needed for healthy development on the way to primary school. At Het Eendennest we work with three groups to meet the needs of children of different ages. We have a baby group for the very youngest from 0 to 2 years, and two vertical groups for children aged 0 to 4 and 1 to 4. It is wonderful to see how younger children learn from the older ones. We work with themed activities that always connect to the children's world of experience – think of themes such as traffic, sick and healthy, people or summer. Our building has a friendly atmosphere. The baby group is fully equipped for the youngest children, with high cots where they can lie and play quietly. Children can explore on their own and have plenty of room to roll on the floor, crawl or take their first steps. Along the walls are a play board and a mirror with a walking rail, and in the low cupboard is play material that children can use themselves. Walk a little further through the swing doors and you enter the large play hall. Children from the vertical groups come here regularly to play to their heart's content. In addition, there is development-oriented play material for children who need extra challenge, such as beads, kinetic sand, play rice and puzzles. As nice as it is inside, we prefer to go outside. We have plenty of outdoor space, allowing us to offer a wide range of activities. There is a lawn to run and play on, a slide for extra adventure, a sandbox to stimulate creativity and even a jungle garden to explore. Every day is fun with us, but some days are extra special. For example, we participate in the National Reading Days and Children's Book Week. We also celebrate holidays and pay attention to carnival, King's Day and Pancake Day. We also often go out in our large pushchairs – for example to a nearby playground. Once a week we do Toddler Gym, with fun exercises to move around a lot.
