Welcome to Daycare Het Bergje, located at Burggravenlaan 1 in the heart of Geertruidenberg. We are a small-scale childcare centre for children aged 0 to 4 years, housed in a purpose-built facility right next to a petting zoo and playground. This unique setting allows our little ones to enjoy fresh air, nature and animals every single day. At Het Bergje we are proud of our warm, experienced pedagogical staff who give each child the personal attention they deserve. Because we remain small, we know every child and every parent well; we believe it is essential that both parents and children feel at home quickly. We offer a calm, predictable daily rhythm in which play, sleep, meals and cuddles follow one another in a reassuring routine. Our outdoor space is a major asset: children can play safely in our own garden and regularly visit the animals in the adjacent petting farm. This stimulates their curiosity, motor development and respect for nature. Indoors we have created different corners that match the world of young children: a cosy reading corner, a creative table, a soft baby area and an engaging construction corner. Because we keep our groups small, we can respond flexibly to parents’ wishes and each child’s development. Good communication with parents is very important to us: at the end of the day you receive a personal note about how your child experienced the day.
