Het Avontuur Kinderopvang

Welcome to Het Avontuur Kinderopvang at Sint Gerardusplein 24A in Eindhoven-Stratum. Since January 2010 we have been an independent childcare organisation offering a warm and safe home-from-home for children aged 0 to 4. Our day-care centre is tucked away behind the Sint Gerardus church – the entrance sits between the church and the primary school – giving us a calm, sheltered spot in the heart of the neighbourhood. Everything we do is built around discovery-based learning. Our professional, well-trained pedagogical staff know every child personally and guide each one step by step on their journey into the wider world. The group rooms are carefully arranged: play and development materials are always within reach and the layout is tailored to the children’s ages. Babies can play and sleep peacefully while toddlers find challenging corners for building, imagining and playing together. Our outdoor space completes the adventure. Children from three years up enjoy the “Avonturentuin”, a secure garden where they can climb, scramble, cycle and splash in sand and water. The very youngest have their own separate baby and toddler garden with soft surfacing and age-appropriate toys. Outdoor play is part of the daily routine; fresh air and movement are just as important to us as indoor activities. We work with horizontal groups, so children play and develop in an age-specific environment. The centre is officially registered for 88 places and meets all statutory quality requirements. Pre-school education (VVE) is woven into the programme “Puk & Ko”, preparing toddlers for primary school in a playful way. Nappies are included and bottle feeding is supported; parents can book flexible days and swap when needed. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Together with parents we create a place where every child feels welcome and free to be themselves.
